Birthday

Wow it is har to believe I turned 65 today.   Time seems to go somewhere and I just never catch up I still feeli am in my 40  I was having surgery sometime during that decade too. Boy have I lost a lot of strengt in my legs dr says I can start PT soon it has been a difficult recovery and still have about anotherb month t go maybe longer.   Missing Ken a lot. So sweet of his family to not even write or text about my surgery. I want to write and say I wonder what Ken thinks bless his heart she was so rough on him and even during the cancer soon as he would get home from a procedure or surgery she would demand he take her shopping no wonder his strength was so low to fight the cancer takes a lot she wrote the other day she didin't know what she will do when something happens to her mom since she has no Ideal ho to cook maybe getting close to 50  she should get a simple cookbook. I think it is nothing else than lazy

Oh well, it is so hard to see in your mind the picture of your  son laying in the hospital bed no longer breathing  a lifeless shell of a body once so full of life  not there in spirit anymore  so many thoughts cross ones mind. How much I miss that wonderful son of mine. Life is just not the same anymore as you all know.
Don,t know if my surgery has worked yet or not. Just keep hoping

Wishing each of you some bright days  Sandi

Happy birthday Sandi...I\'m only a few years behind you...yes, it\'s so hard to think of our children suffering before they died. Melissa deteriorated right in front of my eyes and I didn\'t see it coming. When she was vomiting I thought it was her ulcerative colitis..Even when she was slurring, I thought it was because she wasn\'t drinking and her mouth was dry. The nurse was aware of it...cause he said \"Melissa, you\'re slurring\". But he did nothing about it. I have tremendous guilt about that day...We are both hurting emotionally and physically. Take care my friend. Love, Connie

Happy Birthday Sandi. I know how much love there is in your heart and how much it hurts that you cannot give it to your beloved Ken. Did you see Joanna\'s entry the other day? It was a beautiful quote... let me see if I can find it.... hold on! Ok... this was from someone named Martha Hickman: \"But the love we have shared helps form the strength to deal with loss. The hope and joy we have known help us believe in the possibility of hope and joy again. And the intensity of grief mirrors the intensity of shared love, which will continue to beam through our life, to illumine and nourish all that we do and are. Love never ends. Never.\" I thought that was something we could all believe. The love continues to beam through!
Love and light,
Sarah
