The wind howled to the night sky The moon, gazed down gently at the lively Earth, The ground soaking up the moonlight like a desperate parched being A man lay on the ground, gasping for a breath His old, weak hands clawed at his chest Trying to tear off the pain like it was a parasite Leaching off his life force His eyes, Wide with panic and fear, Searched in vain for a glimpse of hope, A small vision of help, But to no avail The wind picked up like the frantic beating of his dying heart, Creating a soft drumming in his ears The music of death A figure stood over him, Drenched in black Hooded, veiled, and dark Black wings sprouting from his back reflected the pale moons light Ebony hair flooded the dying corpes vision as this, seemingly, god of death lowered his hood Revealing a timeless pale face Endless black eyes, so easy to get lost in And blood red lips forming an alluring smile Then this creature smirked dangerously The light glinting off his fangs And said, in sync with the melody of death, "You're time has expired. I must take you." The deadly music picked up in speed And the old man struggled, taking one last breath With his last exhale, his life force slowly left his body Leaving behind nothing but a rotting corpse of wrinkled flesh The creature faded away Off to steal another poor souls life Humming a soft tune under his breath The mans song, is done.
