Saturday was a beautiful farewell to my aunty. It was a celebration of her life with the sharing of many happy memories.
Everyone came through it well and left the service with a feeling of peace.
Thank you so much for the prayers and thoughts. It helped to know tht my very special DS friends were there with me in spirit.

Funerals had be tough but this one sounds OK. I prefer the way funerals are a celebration of life nowadays and less formulaic with heads down following a book service. Think it does make it easier for those left behind.

Thank you Lois, Camba, Rebel and Praise2him. Everyone here is coping very well. Most of the family from interstate have flown home but my uncle still has his two daughters here, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren so he will be well looked after and with plenty of people popping in. We are heading towards home tomorrow.
