I haven't been here as much as usual. We flew up to North Queensland to see my aunty who is very ill and fading quickly. She turned 94 last month and has had an active and healthy life until fairly recently. She is very heavily medicated but does have times when she is aware of who is there. My uncle, 93 years old, comes every day, sits beside her bed and holds her hand.
From the sadness of this has come a positive in that grandchildren who weren't talking have put their differences aside as they fly in from several parts of Australia to see their Nan and say their goodbyes.
Please add my lovely little aunty and her family to your prayers.
