Away....
I feel like I have been away soooo much this week. I know I've posted here and there and wrote in my journal, but it's been crazy busy!
I almost backed out on doing my Arabic speech because I didn't have it all memorized and Friday was crazy! All the sudden in the 30's when it's been 80 and windy, cold rain. Missed a bus or two and/or they were late on campus and whew!!! Walked probably 10 miles today! I did, however, manage to take my anthro test and within the hour give my Arabic speech!! I did have to read most of it instead of just saying it...but I got third place even with that!!!
The dance for the performance went well and a Lebanese man (we danced a Lebanese dabke) came up to me afterward and said it was a good dabke!!
I then went on date #2 with the rather short, but really nice, respectful, sweet guy. Then watched a movie with the kids and did karaoke and have been up 24+ hours since I got up at 4 a.m. to study!!!
I am tired, but proud of myself. I told my prof I wanted to back out of doing the speech, and with the rough day really wanted to, but she encouraged me that I would do fine!! And well, it wasn't the best that I wanted to do, but even if I read most of it off my note cards, I did share the message of the sound of silence!!
It was good - now if only I could sleep 24 horus to catch up!!!
