Thank You

Thank you for the kind words.  I made it through another December 1.  I can't believe it is 6 years.  On the other hand, it seems like forever.
This is a ramble so feel free to read or not.
Lisa is my daughter and best friend.  I have received many messages and know that she was loved by many for her quirky, practical, funny, and unique personality.  She loved to see people laughing and happy.  She had no patience for BS and let people know about it.  She said that she was a manipulator and you could not manipulate a manipulator.  Luckily she used her skills for the good.  Her last job was as a staff scheduler at the local hospital.  I drove her to work one morning.  She said we had to leave a bit early because she had to stop at Tim's (a well known Canadian coffee shop).  I asked why as she didn't like coffee.  She said that she had convinced a night nurse to come to work on nights.  He was very reluctant but she cajoled him and he finally agreed.  She promised to take him a coffee on her way to work - and she did.
After Lisa died, I learned that she helped out many people - she never told anyone.  Her friends and co-workers really did love her.
I spoke with Cevyn and Andrew - we are all bummed out but looking forward to Christmas.
She was the light of my life.  Andrew is too but I guess there is a bond between mom and daughter - at least there was between Lisa and me.  Or perhaps it is because I now only have memories.
I spent the day as busy as I could be.  And this evening we went to our neighbour's to toast Lisa.  Now I sit back and shed tears for my beloved daughter.  I am so blessed to have had her for 37 years but she left far too soon.
Lisa:  I miss our phone conversations.  I think of you every time the phone rings.  My heart hurts as I answer and it isn't you.  I miss you always and love you forever,  Mummy

Oh my sweet friend....just want to wrap my arms around you and comfort your broken heart. Lisa surely was a precious soul on this earth, doing good and helping many; many that you will never even know about. I\'ve often said I knew Kala was a good person, but after her accident, and hearing so many wonderful things she did that I never knew about, I said she was even a better person than I knew.

LISA! LISA! LISA! LISA! LISA! LISA!!!!!

I am sorry I missed Lisa\'s date, everyone is right she does sound like you. You should be proud to have raised her to be a great person. I appreciate you and I bet Lisa does also. Mike\'s date is fast approaching and I am trying my best with parties this time of year. My house is not decorated the twins do not come as often they put up my tree and decorate the way the like. I like it that way because they have a child like vision I adore.

Lisa tell Mike to visit more often........
Marlene I am sending you the tightest hugs

You were in my thoughts, but I did not see your journal! Six years does feel like forever. Our missing them is even getting worse as time goes by. My sixth year will begin on March 1st. Forever dreaded. No news of his kids, either. Thank G-d you\'ve got your grandkid. If she\'s anything like her mom, Lisa is/was wonderful.....it\'s funny, that until they died, we didn\'t know how many lives they touched. We can be proud of that. Tight hugs, abby
