down
Well another Mother's Day is done. It has been a hard day, even though Lisa popped by a couple of times. I just felt down and anxious.
It wasn't a totally bad day but for some reason, I just feel anxious.
First the good stuff: We went to Edmonton to visit Tiina and Andrew. We did a bit of shopping yesterday, and this morning we were taken for brunch with Tiina's family. We had a lovely meal and great visit. I had a good time though I did miss Lisa a lot.
Yesterday evening we visited Joe's brother-in-law. We had a good visit but it always makes me a bit melancholy as Joe's sister Susan was not there. She died a couple of years ago. Ed had just gotten back from Australia where their daughter now lives with her husband, so he regaled us with Aussie stories and we shared India with him.
We came home today and I cried for most of the 3 hour drive. I couldn't stop remembering the good, the bad and the ugly. I tried to focus on the good stuff but my mind kept going back to times when she was struggling and it just made me more teary. I miss the phone calls so much. She would call often, and always on Mothers Day. I miss her voice - I can hear her saying "Hi Mummy!". And we always always ended with "I love you". Those are the last words I heard her speak.
I must mention the best part of the day. Cevyn called to wish me a Happy Mothers Day. I do love to hear her voice - she sounds a bit like Lisa so it is the next best thing.
I know tomorrow will be a better day but for now, I mourn my daughter.
Lisa: I know you were with me today but I needed to miss you and cry for you. I will always miss our talks, your stories and your laugh. It was infections. I miss you always and love you forever, Your Mummy

I was right. Today is a better day. Even though I woke to large snow flakes! I am ready for a long walk and getting on with life - with Lisa tagging along! Thank you my SOTH for being there.
So understand.....I\'m glad that \"today\" is a better day....always missing our children...(((hugs)))) Vicki
Worn out from emotions, exhausted from visitor, son of my dtr. Bone of my bone. It\'s a hard day that we\'ve all passed. Kudos. We do get through it all, don\'t we Maureen? and we survive, memories of those gone before calming our souls. Love, Abby
Glad today is a better day. Love and hugs, Paula
Snowflakes! Oh my! It\'s 80 degrees over here in New York. It seems to have gone from winter straight to summer with just a hint of spring in between.
I\'m glad you\'re feeling better today. I do too. Yesterday was a combination of joy and \"meh\" with some tears sprinkled in.
I hope that you took that nice long walk!
Love and Hugs,
Diane
Supposed to go up to 89 degrees today in Atlanta. It\'s g
etting a little cooler during the week, though. I\'m glad you made it through yesterday, Marlene. For me it was miss, remember & try to act fairly \'normal\' for my son & d-i-l. Fathers\' Day will be equally hard for my husband.
Love,
Donna
