Green Smiley Monday
It is Monday and I am at peace.
I am sitting here in the living room of Lisa's dear friend. Nancy lives in a beautiful home on Rideau Lake. I have been last night to the haunting sound of loons and yesterday we saw a muskrat swim by.
I love the early morning as the boats are not out yet out so it is quiet. The only sound is the birds chirping.
I am here to attend Cevyn's (my granddaughter) graduation on Thursday. We arrived on Saturday. We had lunch with Cevyn and her friend and then drove out here.
We are going to visit Lisa's grave today and hopefully catch up with some of Lisa's friends.
Nancy and Lisa worked together and soon became best friends. Together they managed a home care office. They worked hard but had a lot of fun together. Nancy and I reminisced and laughed until our sides almost split. It was wonderful to be with someone who knows and loves Lisa almost as much a I do.
Nancy's husband died about a year ago. So she regaled us with stories of some of the antics they got up to throughout their life together - i.e. when they were on their honeymoon in Italy - traveling by motorbike. Bill went out one day and had an accident - he arrived back with a full body road rash! And he had to repair his bike so they could continue their trip!
So I have spent the weekend crying and laughing, and eating, and drinking red wine, in the sunshine on the shores of Rideau Lake.
We agreed that life can throw some pretty devastating curve balls but we cherish the memories.
Have a great week.
Lisa: We miss you always and love you forever. Nancy and Mummy

Always a pleasure to read about happiness and good times. Life is short and hard, so we must seek out our pleasure in good times with good people. G-d wants us to, and so do our missing children. Sending you a warm hug for the giggles, Abby
Oh, congratulations on your grandaughter\'s graduation. You go girl, I say to mine. The future of our world depends on their good sense and good values. We need to get our democracy back here in the USA. We are all world weary, war weary, and praying for the best. These young people give me hope.
What a wonderful journal to read today! I remember you speaking about Lisa\'s dear friend and there is just nothing like being with those who love our children too.
Congratulations to your granddaughter on her graduation and I have no doubt that Lisa is in the midst savoring it all.
Lots of love dear Marlene and you never stay in one place for long. LOL! I always look forward to hearing where you are resting your head. :)
