Feeling down

I guess I have a short memory.  Fall is a hard time for me, perhaps because of the shorter days.  I woke up feeling really sad.  I forced myself to go for a walk but cried for most of it. Or perhaps it is because it is Thanksgiving (we celebrate earlier here in Canada)  and another celebratory time without Lisa.
So in my usual self destructive way, my supper glass of red wine became a half a bottle.  It just sucks.
It is precisely for this reason that I keep busy.  I had a 3 hour reprieve when I attended a budget committee meeting for the condo.
We are going to visit our son for a couple of days on Friday.  Hopefully I will be in a better mood by then.
Thanks my SOTH for being there.
Lisa:  I can't believe how sad I am today.  I miss you always and love you forever.  Mummy

The downsides of this roller coaster ride are so difficult, the emotions engulf us like a wave and can hold us down. I hear you on the wine..Sunday night was a very difficult night for me..had the \"wine flu\" Monday morning. The yearning for our children never ends, doesn\'t get easier. Sending tight hugs and much love to you. Sue xo

Mr. LJ and I were talking about this and his thoughts are that it\'s another harsh reminder of another season without our Douglas. Perhaps that is some of what the changing of seasons may symbolize for many of us... It helped me to try to understand why I \"tank\" too so often at these times. Just a deep longing and missing...

I\'m with you dear Marlene and I do remember that your Thanksgiving is coming up soon. Is it on the 14th?

Gentle care dear one and knowing how sorely you miss your Lisa.

Much love and understanding.

On this journey there is no \"preparing\" for hard times like with many other aspects of our life. Our \"hard times\" just hit us out of the blue and you never, ever know what is going to trigger it. Hold on tight and know that so many of us love you and are holding you tightly in our hearts. You are a precious friend and meeting you is one of the blessings that came from my trip to Boston this year! Love and hugs...Lynn

Why are some days more difficult than others? Sorry that you are feeling sad. This time of year is hardest for me as well. Jeremy\'s birthday is just a couple weeks away as well as his favorite holiday. No matter how positive I try to be there is no escaping the sadness some days. Yesterday I reared up more than once and felt the heaviness in my heart, missing my boy. Love and hugs to you dear friend. Angela

Marlene,
I know this feeling all too well. Every month is dotted with a holiday, birthday, angelversary, etc. We get reminded around every corner, it seems so anyway. Feel my arms, holding you tight.
Much love,
Leda

We all have those sad times, just feel it and let the tears flow, crying is a healthy reaction. Sending positive thoughts and hugs.

I am sorry for your sadness. It is just crazy how some days we just feel such a sense of sadness. I am learning that I do feel so much better after crying. I hope you feel better and that the immense sadness only lasts a short time. I know how over whelming those moments of sadness are. You are in my thoughts.

I\'m right with you, dear girl! Autumn and cool, damp, my body is complaining too much! Wish I would go for a walk, too.

Missing our kids during our holidays is the pits. I\'m sure your mood will lift when with your loving son. It always helps with my sadness. Love, Abby

Hello my friend Marlene! I know your Thanksgiving is next week so thinking of you and my friend Joanne. Whoops and my friend Wayne...you Canadians are getting on my nerves LOL JUST KIDDING I LOVE YOU! On a more serious side, Fall is very difficult for me. I hate the days getting shorter and all the dates are now coming up! Last time my boys would see each other, last concert (Coldplay), my last b/d that he would be alive and then comes the Thanksgiving that he would be dead. Hmmm. Yep hard time in the Fall. I do much better in the spring. I love you.
Peace.

All the holidays are hard on us no matter how long our children have been angels. If we have to cry it\'s not a sign of weakness, we are allowed to miss our children...Hugs to everyone, Connie

So sorry you are having a sad day. A dear friend of mine who also lost her child to an auto accident near where I live, told me to lean into my tears and just let them flow. Go with my feelings as they come and go. No matter what the season, I always have my memories resurfacing. Some make me happy and some make me sad. I\'m sure Lisa made the Thanksgiving season special for you and know how much you miss her. Hugs and love,
Debbie
