another update
Lorraine is feeling much better. The doctor has prescribed an anti-anxiety med and muscle relaxants and they are working. I am sure much of the pain was caused by stress and anxiety - waiting and waiting.
She now has an appointment for a consult with a thoracic surgeon on the 14th. So it shouldn't be long before she has surgery. Needless to say, she is frightened but the medications help a lot.
We went for a walk yesterday and on a short shopping trip. She enjoyed herself - even in the rain. She tires easily so had a rest before and after the excursions.
In the meantime, we are packing to leave for Oregon on Monday.

I hate the waiting part for medical procedures, in fact I just wrote a journal about that. I\'m keeping Lorraine in my morning prayers. You are a very good friend Marlene.

Great on the medications. I\'ve started Prozac for some of the lingering sadness of the loss of my husband and health. How thankful I am for our medications getting us through and having a better quality life with their help. I hope Lorraine is resting well and finding joy in the simple parts of life while she waits for the outcome.

Grateful to hear about Lorraine and what a roller coaster ride of emotions she is on and feeling. Deepest of sighs... Have the BEST time ever in Oregon. One of my favorite places. :)
