update
Well, we spent 3 days helping to move boxes etc. Andrew just emailed to say that the movers are doing their thing - moving furniture. He is feeling really guilty because he can't help - he has had a bad back ever since we were rear ended many years ago. Andrew was in the back seat and took the brunt of it. I am trying to put a happier spin on it for him but it isn't working! He feels bad watching every one work but him
Lorraine is still waiting for results of the needle biopsy. She said she hit the proverbial wall on Friday and went to the doctor. She went and told her that she couldn't stand it any more. She has pain and the Tylenol was not doing the trick. However the doctor gave her an anti inflammatory which doesn't take the pain away either. I think she is having muscle spasms. She is just uncomfortable most of the time. We did go over yesterday - Joe walked the dogs and I kept her company. Then we all went out to a restaurant for dinner. She seemed to enjoy that.
Joe and I went to the Lilac Festival. Every May they close of about 10 blocks of a street and have vendors, food trucks, and entertainment. It was very well attended this year, in fact too well attended. The crowds were a bit much for me. So we went to a pub and sat on the patio and watched the people go by.
We are headed to Oregon in a bit over a week. We are hoping to finish the trip that was cut short last summer when my brother died.
Lisa: I so wish you could be around to give your brother a talking to. He always seemed to listen to you and your practical advice. I miss you always and love you forever.

Lorraine deserves proper pain relief. It is inhuman to allow her to suffer. What are they afraid of? addiction in our few last years? Pain relief is a right in civilized socities, I believe. Glad you could be of help to her. Nothing beats the sympathy of a good friend.
Happy the move is almost over. Hope you are feeling well, still. Enjoy your trip next week. My cousin lives in Oregon, she loves it. Is a therapist, author, musician, married to a judge. Nice people. Love, Abby
We walked for a hour and didn\'t see a lilac - until we were about to leave - some one was selling little bouquets. Lilacs give me a sinus headache so i was glad there were so few.
It must be hard for Andrew to not help with the move as he\'d like, but I\'m sure he\'s doing plenty of things that help...he\'s just not giving himself credit where credit is due. We tend to do that...focus on what we can\'t do, aren\'t doing, instead of what we can and are.
So hope Lorraine gets some relief from the pain soon. I wonder why the doctors aren\'t able to give her something stronger to help?? Love and prayers continue~~
The Lilac Festival sounds like fun and I\'m glad there weren\'t too many lilac\'s to give you a headache or start a sneezing frenzy!
Enjoy your time in Oregon.....we absolutely LOVE Oregon! I can\'t wait to go back! It\'s one of the most beautiful states we have I think!

I am going to Edmonton today for one last day of helping. Now that the furniture is out, they realize how much still needs to be done. I am feeling a bit torn. Lorraine will probably get results today or tomorrow so I would like to be here too as my other friend who is helping Lorraine is away this week. Joe is going to be home so will at least be able to walk the dogs and be there for her.

Lorraine is in my thoughts and prayers. It\'s so awful that the doctor isn\'t giving her something stronger for the pain, something for anxiety wouldn\'t hurt either.
Love those street vendor events. This has been a cold spring all over. It\'s understandable the Lilacs are late in blooming. I love Lilacs. At our home in NY we had stretch of Lilac bushes -- all different colors -- dividing the property, I loved it. I\'ve not been able to grow any in Arkansas it\'s Crape Myrtles (spelling?) we have here.

I\'m so sorry to hear about Lorraine. Abby said it right - what are they afraid of with pain relief? Well in the US it would be stupid lawsuits, I suppose. One would hope doctors could use a little of their own discretion at these times.
Never been to Oregon but I would love to see it - hope you post some pics!

Has Lorraine thought of massage therapy, would this even work ? It would calm the muscle spasms What about acupuncture I know it works on Aids pts who have lots of pain. At a certain point one would try anything to get pain relief.
