Home again
What a phenomenal adventure we had! I feel so privileged to have had the opportunity to visit two of the most spectacular places. The Galapagos were mind boggling. I swam with a sea lion and a turtle, saw several land turtles, penguins and the blue footed boobies really do have bright blue feet! I will post photos when Joe has them sorted out.
I have missed the contact with my SOTH but we had no internet on the ship and once we got to Peru, I had 200 messages so pretty much only checked to see if there was anything urgent (we have had deaths in our family when away - Joe's dad when we were working in Moscow, his sister when we were in France, and my brother when were were on our way home from Park City. Thankfully, all was well this time.
So now I go back to the in box. I am down to 180 messages now!
Thank you for the hugs and responses. They mean a lot to me.
I miss my Lisa - I know she was along but I sure wanted to call her. I had silent conversations with her but as you all know, it hurts like the dickens not being able to discuss this incredible journey with her.

Welcome home. I\'m looking forward to the pictures. It sounds like it was a fantastic trip.
I was wondering if you are planning to be at the next retreat? I would really miss you if you weren\'t.

That sounds magical Marlene-swimming w a sea lion and turtle...it was life changing for me to pat a lovable dolphin on the head once, a few years back! You sure have lived and worked in fabulous cities! Lisa no doubt enjoyed the experiences right w you, but I can understand the not being able to \"touch\" base...Love + Hugs, Donna
Phenomenal!!! Yes, that would have to be the only word for it!!! SOOO excited for you to have had this opportunity....and so glad you\'re home safely without any bad news, just incredible memories and amazing photos....can\'t wait for you to share some!
Like you I share every vacation, every everything with Kala, BUT.....man how awesome it would be to pick up the phone, tell Lisa all about this and hear her breathing as she listened and her excited replies as you described the wonders you saw.....yep...we hear you Marlene...
Tight, tight hugs!
What an amazing trip indeed! Hoping the beauty of nature was healing for your heart and I understand what you describe about your longing for Lisa... It is our refiner\'s fire as my late mom used to say who had also lost a son.
I\'ll be excited to see your pictures and be sure to let us know when you post them.:)
Welcome home and I thought of you often and the adventures that I knew you were having. :)
