A better day

I am starting to come out of the black hole.  I am just tired now.  Cevyn is back home - I spoke with her today - getting back in to the routine of calling her after school daily.  We tend to have more to say on the phone than in person.
So I cried for 2 days, did laundry yesterday and had a nap this afternoon and then we walked down to see a movie this evening - The Artist.  I loved it.
Thanks again everyone for you support and understanding.

Some time we just have to go through that dark place...feel what we feel...then we are okay enough to see there are better times ahead. Take gentle care of yourself...love and hugs...Karen

It was really amazing to me how much ENERGY \"grief work\" took..I was so very tired, alternating with being so busy so as not to \"think\"--then I realized I just couldn\'t run fast enough or stay busy enough to stop \"it.\" Processing is a lot of work and that\'s what many people (that haven\'t lost children) don\'t \"get\" about this kind of grief. How MUCH \"processing\" there is just how hard and lengthy and exhausting that is. My husband died, and yes, there was processing and yes it was all very difficult, and I truly loved/love him but losing a child is a horse of a different color. Completely, really. I\'ve lost my husband, only son, only daughter, mother, father, only sister, only brother, best friends, beloved pets...and nothing compares to the experience of losing my children. Nothing. Rest if so VERY important because we really do need to \"keep that reserve\" available (especially the newly bereaved) for unexpected trigger battles that can come from just about anywhere and at anytime! Being rested can definitely prevent or at least greatly lessen a severe \"meltdown.\" So glad you\'re heart is feeling a bit better! :-)

Good for you - you did what you needed to for a while. So glad you are feeling a little better for now and that you and Cevyn ( I know I have told you before, but I LOVE that name...) are back in touch daily. You will both give each other the strength and peace you need ~ Joannax
