Just an update on how things have been going lately.
Easter weekend was a nice get away for me. My family has a small place at the beach and a lot of my extended family live in that area, so I went to visit with them. I got a chance to go surfing, something I love to do but haven't had a chance to lately. I even taught two of my sisters how to surf, so it was good to do some bonding with those girls.
My joints did better last week... very little trouble. I'm liking the warner weather better. It seems to make a big difference in how my days go. My blood sugar has been a little worse than usual though, but it's nothing that I'm not used to or can't handle. One morning I had a 37, but thankfully it hasn't gotten that low again since then.
School is going well. It's going fast! My final exams are the 1st week of May, so the school year is really winding down. That means alot less stress, but that also means moving back in with mom and dad for the summer (not sure how I feel about that). I'm looking for a summer job. I wont be playing much for the church I ususaly play for because it's close to campus but not to home, and I need something more stable. Until then I'll be studying for finals, writing the last of my papers, and enjoying the last few weeks of being here.
On a side note: I'm considering running track for my school. I used to run all the time (before RA stopped me) and I always enjoyed it. Anyway, a friend of mine who used to run with me, comes here and runs for our school now. She suggested I try it out and she's even trying to recruit me by talking with the coach. I miss running and the adrenaline from it. I was once really good. If I work hard this summer and learn to push through the RA, maybe I could give it a try. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
