Hi everyone,
I want to wish you all the best year possible in 2013. This grief is hard and its a journey and remember to be gentle on yourself. We are all doing the best we can to live and love and heal.
So my news: As many of you know Ken and I have been together for many years. We began to live together 3 years ago after Eddie died. I couldn't stand to be alone and Ken stayed and just never left. He gave up his apartment and moved into my condo. He has really stepped up. He says he is a changed man because of Ed. He now believes in God and realizes that love is truly what matters in life. He has been a wonderful grandfather/father figure to Ed's kids, Josh & Christina for the last 3 years. On Saturday, December 22nd Ken & I got married. He has been asking me for over 20 years but I was always fearful after my disastrous first marriage to Ed's father. Our walk with God the last 3 years has changed too - and God was impressing upon my heart that it was time. We had a small wedding at my home with just close family members.
This past Saturday on our "one week anniversary" Ken and I were sick. He has the flu and I had a migraine. We laughed and I said, "I guess this is what happens when the elderly get married". Lol!
Now I have his flu and bronchitis & we are both on antibiotics. But I am grateful for love and someone to share my life with.
Eddie was at my wedding in full force. Before the wedding objects keep moving around the house & then showing up in the most unlikely places. A penny from Heaven appeared on my doorstep on my wedding day & this is where Ed leaves them for me. The Justice of the Peace included scripture and a moment of silence to honor Eddie as I requested & he did a wonderful job of including Ed. Our niece Kelsey gave me away and when the JP said "Who gives this woman to be wed?" Kelsey said, "Eddie and I". Christina, my granddaughter was my maid of honor and Josh, my grandson was Ken's best man.

Linda I am so overjoyed for you! My husband and I had been together for 14 years before we finally got married, I understand how scary it can be the second time around. It is truly wonderful that Eddie shared your special day with you! Conrats to you and may your love continue to grow! Hugs...Kathy
