Green Smiley Monday

Today I am grateful for faith. I was thinking about Kelsey and her brief life on Earth. I went to church yesterday and one of the hymns was "Amazing Grace", which is the hymn I think about when I feel a connection to Kelsey. Only twice since I have gone to this church - 2 years - have we sang this particular hymn. Once was right after Kelsey died and this past Sunday - the Sunday after her angel date.
I thank God for the healing He has been doing in me. My losing my son Ed two and a half years ago made me feel like I was done..just done. But at this point I do have many peaceful days. I am a work in progress and healing. Always missing Ed but healing from the trauma of loss.
For new moms - you will heal too. Have faith in God, your higher power and in your sisters who are further along in this journey. Have faith in love...because you and your child/children are loved here.

Amazing Grace is one of my favorite songs, ever. You must listen to IL DIVO\'s rendition. It makes the hair on your arms go up and I cry. I bet you could find a place to listen to it online free. After, I listened to their version, I went on line an studied about the man who wrote it very interesting stuff.

I so hear you - we are works in progress.
My granddaughter went to a Christian School up to Grade 8 - Lisa died a few months before her Gr,.8 graduation. At Lisa\'s funeral, the students attended and sang Amazing Grace. It was phenomenal.

You are amazing grace in who you are and how you live your life... A calming and very healing presence are YOU that brings this Grace. Lots of love and weekend (((hugs))) to you! XO Joanie

Linda, it is my very favorite hymn and one that always brings me comfort, I\'m glad that you are feeling some peaceful days. It does take awhile and our hurt is always there, but it does get lighter as we heal. Love to you my friend...Kim
