Today I am thankful for good friends. My DS friends are lifesavers. I can share whatever feelings I have, cry or feel blessed and express anything & I am always validated. No one here tells me to "get over it!" And in my everyday life I have a friend Elly ( Annie the Border Collie's mom) who knows that Ed's angel date is in September, 9/4 & that his birthday is 9/22 and she tries to keep me busy this month and will even talk about my son.

It\'s so good to hear you have someone to help you through these times of the year that can be so difficult. I lost Dad on 9/7, three days after his birthday.
After caring for him through good times and bad for years, losing him was devastating. It had been just the two of us living together for 29 years.

Linda, as someone who has also been told \"Get over it\" --I now feel that when someone says that (or hints) there is no question about it...they have NO CLUE how bad it is AND they just saved me time by shortening up our \"get to know one another process...\"
You give a tremendous amount of loving support here on FMO and in your \"real life\". It\'s just a matter of \"What goes around comes around\" as to why you are SO LOVED!
