Green Smiley Monday

I'm going for it, yes the green smiley Monday. its kind of a pale green but green, nontheless.
Last Monday I journaled & said I was grateful for a job and a job that I love and then I proceeded to have the worst work week I've had in a long time, lol. So today I am grateful that I can laugh about the irony of stating how much I love my job & by Friday being just about to call it "quits." Between my own stuff - meltdowns over Ed, then staff behaving badly, budget cuts and the start up of all 12 classes, (in the summer only 3 are open), yikes! How soon is retirement?
I am also grateful to have taken some time off this week.
I am grateful for medicines that help. I can only speak for me but going off Zoloft at the end of June hasn't worked out all that well for me. The sobbing while driving home and feeling distracted and not sleeping all came back. I called my doctor today & began a low dosage of Zoloft again and I know meds are not right for some everyone but for me it has helped me manage and I only use them under the supervision of my doctor and I do not drink alcohol while I am taking an antidepressant.
And last but not least I am happy today because this powerful union of friends here at DS and FMO came to my rescue (please see my last journal) with wonderful ideas, suggestions, love and prayers. My heartfelt thanks to all of you.
Love ya!!!! :)

Linda, I took Prozak for about one year starting the second year after Richard died. The medicine did help me out of my deep depression. Before I went off the medicine I worked on ways to cope that would be positive for me. I worked a lot on staying in the moment. Having said all that I did feel the first few months after stoppping the med I was going backwards but I decided to stay the course. Eventually it all evened itself out and have many more good moments then not so good. Anyways that is my experience and we all need to do what is right for us. Hugs my friend
