Day 19 - 23 of 365 - Man Break
Got back from a weekend dance comp last night.  Still tired but we had lots of fun.  It was so nice to spend two nights in a hotel with my kids and just relax and chill.  We went out to eat, shopped and went in the pool and hot tub.  There were other families there and our dance studio is like a family to me.  Our kids got along so well.  The amazing part is I barely thought about men all weekend.  I was completely focused on my kids and friends that it barely entered my mind.
Now that I'm back to the routine though I'm feeling kinds of like I'm not sure what step to take next.  Of course I talked to an old friend tonight and the first thing she wants to talk about is my love life....I just wish people wouldn't make you feel so bad because you don't have someone.

So, if they are making you feel bad how is it done.

I remember when I was contending with that. It was before I really had the edge on about being independent and not just automatically NEEDING a man to be some how complete. It would be certain that the first question would be ... so hows your love life?... or something in that ball park.

Then came these months where I thought to begin looking casually and maybe a little putting myself out there. That was a huge mistake. Telling GF\'s that egged it on even worse. I was better saying I was on break.

The conversations were glued to together on the basis of male female romantic sexualized relationships.

No thinking those friends dropped off. I got tired of explaining myself for sure. Every one was saturated with their H or BF and I was thinking ... don\'t you women do anything else ??? Is there anything of importance or interest besides the opposite sex. It was like being 16 again. Girls talking Boys.

Any way, Saying they make you feel bad probably isn\'t the best way of putting it... more like you feel bad when they talk blah blah and blah... but let me know what they say. Maybe they are being cruel.

Good to hear you had a wonderful time with your daughters and friends. You had something in common and you all had the same focus. That makes things interesting and fun. But if one is off of men and others are on... it is limiting.

((((hugs))))

I have spent some time with my niece the last few days and I can see how exhausting it is to be a parent, or should i say a good parent. My sister and BIL entire focus is on their daughter and it is running from day care to gymnastics to swim lessons. Wow it is a whilwind!
