This is SO EASY. And so tasty. Why didn't I try it before? Dunno. But you'all can try it now. No special ingredients even.1 cup rice flour (we had sweet rice flour: haven't tried it with anything else yet).1/4 cup water1/2 tsp. salt1 eggMix all that up. You might need to adjust the amount of flour to make a nice dough. It tends to thicken up as it sits, so make it a little thin at first. (Also of course it will depend on the size of the egg ...)Let it sit for a bit before working (so the water can sink in).Now roll it into balls and smash with the bottom of a glass, or a big sheet to cut into squares or strip into noodles. We didn't use xanthan gum or Chebe or any other gluten substitute. We used a silicone baking mat to roll it out, which makes life easier. Sprinkle rice flour onto the dough so it doesn't stick. You can stack the cut wonton with rice flour between the layers too.We tried these in many different ways. They made good "egg rolls" when fried. They made goodwonton when boiled. Also great egg noodles. Didn't dissolve into the soup. Baked they were a little dry (if you want to bake them you might want to add some oil to the dough, and/or baking powder). Steamed they were wonderful. I expect they would make great tortillas on the tortilla press. Our fried wonton were stuffed with prosciutto because it was handy, and forsome reason they ended up tasting like cheese crackers. I was thinking of blending up some prosciutto in water and adding it to the dough.Ummm yummm ... Nothing like chicken soup with egg noodles fat creates bm not fiber. It was thought that it was the fiber absorbing water and bulking out which stimulates movement but this study by researchers at Medical College of Georgia gives a different mechanism -- the non-digestable fibrous foods hit cells, rupture the cells' outer cover and a beneficial, cell-protecting mucus is released. "An injury at the cell level can promote health of the GI tract as a whole."They say that the mucus (glad to know there's such a thing as 'beneficial' mucous!) provides a lining against carcinogens; the mucous acts as a boundary between the body and "external" substances. Good news for all of us "bulking up" on fresh fruits and vegetables, ground flax seed and whole grains (preferably sprouted). "Adequate water intake is also very important. Muscles are designed to slide and glide across one another. Imagine how that sliding and gliding would be affected if the tissues are dry and sticky!""trans fat is similar to what is found in meat and dairy." Forearm Pain Self Care Forearm pain self care takes on an interesting twist when you consider the anatomy of the forearms. When you use your hands, muscles on one side of the forearms contract while the muscles on the other side lengthen. In order for you to be pain free, these muscles must be able to work in a balanced way. So, if one side is tight or adhered, the other side will have to overwork to compensate. This can lead to pain and injury.Forearm Pain Self Care Program-Click Here Stretching is the best way to relieve forearm pain. This encourages tissues that are adhered to release from one another in the quickest way possible. It's also a great way to balance the function of the muscles on both sides of the forearms. It's important to choose stretching exercises that affect all of the muscles of the forearms independently. Because your injury has developed as a result of how you use your hands and arms, it is impossible to tell at the beginning which muscles are creating your problem. So, choose stretches that work on all the muscles of the forearms and pay attention to how they feel as you practice them. This will give you clues as to which muscles are causing your symptoms. After any period of stretching, be sure to rest your arms for at least 30 seconds before doing something new with your hands. This allows the muscle tissue time to recover from the stretch. Remember that stretching should never be painful in any way.In addition to stretching it's important to identify other sources of forearm strain and try to eliminate as much of that strain as possible. If you use your hands extensively in your work, your forearm muscles are already under a lot of strain in the normal course of your day. To avoid further strain to your forearms, consider eliminating stressful activities like hand-intensive sports and hobbies. Choose only to do the most essential things with your hands and arms while you are trying to recover and your arms will thank you.As always, consistency and care are the most important concepts to grasp when restoring forearms to normal, pain-free function and range of motion. Pay close attention to the sensations your body sends as you stretch. Never overdo it and never cause pain.Adequate water intake is also very important. Muscles are designed to slide and glide across one another. Imagine how that sliding and gliding would be affected if the tissues are dry and sticky!Get up when the alarm goes off, don't hit snooze, don't lay down again. It's really simple. It's not pleasant, but it's simple. Don't hit snooze. Your mind will think it was an abberation in reality and immediately fall back to sleep.Don’t hit snooze. God to bed 15 minutes earlier instead. “The snooze bar disrupts and fragments your sleep,” says Maas. If you need an alarm, he says, “you are sleep deprived.”Never hit your snooze button ever again This is interesting. A clock that transfers money from your bank account to the organization you select every time you hit the snooze button. Geekologie - Never hit your snooze button ever again.Pick an organization you do not like and you have additional incentive to GET UP!Now, generally, I'm a "figure out when you want to get up, set the alarm and get up when it goes off" kind of guy. (Though occasionally, I do enjoy a little snooze time.) But overall, if it needs doing, do it now.Back to Ephesians 5 again. Be wise in the way you live, redeeming the time - which is to say, buy it up for an intentional purpose. Don't hit snooze, because once the moment is gone, it is gone for good.Don’t Hit the Snooze!Do you bolt out of bed when your alarm sounds, or do you hit the snooze button seventeen times before you crawl out of bed in a sleep-induced haze? What about your life, your path? Are you in snooze mode, fending off your destiny for just another five minutes (five months, five years)? If you’re a dozer, I’ve got a message for you: The universe is trying to wake you up. Are you listening? Have you responded to your calling, or did you sleep right through your alarm? Are you ignoring that telltale beep, beep, beep?If you choose to abuse the snooze here’s what’s in store for you:Nature Sounds – At first, the universe will try to wake you up with gentle, soothing sounds. You’ll get that first, exiting flash of inspiration about your purpose in life. The road will rise up to meet you and everywhere you turn it will feel as though the universe is sending you a message to follow your calling. But if you hit the snooze…Bells – Next you’ll be woken up by the sound of bells, a pleasant sound, yet a whole lot louder than those crashing waves and chirping birds. This is the universe reminding you that you have an appointment to manifest your destiny, and since you missed your last one, you better get up. But if you don’t get out of bed…Car Horns – Your next alarm is pure noise. The universe is trying to annoy you now with obnoxious, 5:00 a.m. car horns, just so you know that your calling cannot be ignored. You may feel like nothing is going your way during this phase, because it isn’t. Until you get up and walk your true path, life will be pretty darn frustrating. And if you STILL don’t wake up…Bucket of Water – Splash! Freezing cold water ought to do it. The universe is serious now, man. This isn’t just a wake up call, it’s a warning. You were put on this earth for a reason, and the longer you ignore your calling, the more maddening the alarms will be. If you’re totally dense and refuse to wake the f*ck up…Earthquake – It’s shake, rattle, and roll, baby. The universe is pulling out all the stops now, no holds barred, doing whatever it takes to wake you up and get you to climb out of bed and meet your destiny. Things could get ugly. Really ugly. Unless…You wake up.If you don’t respond to your calling, the universe will up the ante until you do. If you keep “sleeping” through life, the universe will shake you up until you finally tune in and give in to your destiny. We all have our own reasons for hitting the snooze button, but in the end, you still have to walk down the same path in order to be truly fulfilled. Why not just wake up now and get a head start? It was a delicious can of refried beans. I added some sprinkly cheese, fresh avocado, cilantro, poblano peppers and omg was so good. I had potatoes au gratin from a box! Chopped head o' broccoli, 2 cups of whole wheat pasta, two cans of cream of mushroom, a cup of shredded cheddar, and two soup cans of milk. It's all stewing together right now.Up until a couple weeks ago, I would have turned my nose up at the "processed" cream of mushroom soup, Michael Pollan-style. Now I'm all about Recession-Fusion Cuisine.
