I am sorry for your pain my friend. What I found with aspies is that they have some exceptional qualities in life, far greater than the typical person, but there are some very challenging issues that go along with that uniqueness. For me, when I dated my aspie bf, he certainly did not cheat on me, he was totally devoted, even obsessed I\'d say. The raging meltdowns were so horrific and I certainly did not know how to deal with that as I did not even know he was aspie at that time and thought of him as an extremely verbally abusive bully and told him so. I tried to help him with the hoarding but he had grave difficulty letting go of anything and would just find another place to hide it. Better than all out in the open but then rats got into the basement and I freaked out. He is a dear friend now. I love his unique qualities but due to so many layered traumas and issues that I have to deal with in life, I have decided that I cannot really give him all the support he needs with his issues as a \"partner.\" Great friend though. :)
Hugs Deelyn, a lot of insight into your friend and his layers of emotion.

nice quote~ when I think of her, I am grateful that I have what I do and even thought my heart is torn in pieces by my cheating, hoarder husband.
