10 Years and I survived.
Good Morning and Happy New Year Dear Sisters,
As you all know Christmas Eve was Josh's angel date making it 10 years. I type it and its still hard to believe I have survived. 10 Long Years but then I think where did the time go. Thursday and Friday before Christmas Eve was the hardest. You know what its like the days before the date. But I know I was not alone with you guys being here for me. I wanted to tell you about one of my customers. Friday morning before we closed for the holiday, one of our customers came into my office and gave me something for the boss. As he stepped out he made the comment that he hated Christmas. My reply was I do too Todd. Well about 10 minutes passed. One of my co-workers brought him back into my office and showed him my picture of Josh. My co-worker said you need to talk to Rhonda. Christmas Eve made 8 years for Todd's son. After losing that child 4 months later he lost another son. He had no idea about Josh. The tears came down from both of faces. He said no body had a clue. He said I hear about peoples problems all the time but they don't know what bad is. We hugged. He told me talking to me made his Christmas. Knowing someone else knows the hell of losing a child.
Christmas Eve night family and friends came over for dinner and to remember and Josh. Once everyone left two of his friends showed up. How that makes my heart smile that they remember. Love them boys. I have attached a picture that a cousin helped me do in Josh's memory. This burned in my yard Christmas Eve night. Beautiful.
I love you all.

Todd and you were earth angels for one another my friend in ways that no one else could be. I was certainly thinking of you and of all who love your peace loving Josh.
The picture is amazing with that sign of peace blazing all night.
Ten seconds, ten weeks, ten months, ten years... It's all the same in the heart of a mother. We know this.
Loving care dearest Rhonda, and may pockets full of peace BE yours.
Tight heart (((hugs)))
XO Joanie
Rhonda, what a beautiful picture of this loving tribute to dearest Josh! How he must be smiling from heaven!
My heart goes out to Todd. How painful to lose two children! But the connection and bonding with you must be priceless to him. No one understands, even though folks have compassion, no one can possibly understand but another mom or dad. As Joanie said, you were earth angels for one another in that moment.
It's lovely when our child's friends not only remember our child but make a point to stop by and let us know they are thinking of him. What a gift Josh's friends gave you and John.
Glad you had loving family and friends around you celebrating Josh's life on his 10th angelversary. You have survived and more. You continue to honor your wonderful son with your life. Josh must be very proud of his mama! Loving you and Josh, Linda
(((hugs))) and much love, Sharon
Wow! Sometimes we are just where we are meant to be.
What a beautiful photo - a tribute to Josh. I am glad when December is over. Lisa's angel day is December 1. We had a funeral in Ottawa and then a memorial on the 27th of December in the town where Lisa grew up. It is 7 years for us.
Wishing you love and peace. Tight hugs, M
Totally unbelievable, time doesn't matter... it still sucks, the heart still hurts, the tears still come, but it is always "nice" to meet another parent who totally understands. Some people we are just meant to meet at a time we both need it most. I no longer ask how or why. Hugs to you sweet Rhonda.
Oh Rhonda...so touching that you guys found each other at just the right time. He will always know that he has another person that will "get it". Such a blessing.
Love, LOVE the peace sign luminaries...so perfect!
Love you sweet friend
I loved the picture. How special. I know when someone remembers my Jeff it means more to me than anybody can imagine.. I just want to talk about Jeff. So glad that you were able to share about Josh and you were there to share with your customer about his Todd and other son. Hoping for us all here at DS a peaceful 2017....Love and hugs, Nell
Peace to you. Peace for Josh. Peace to all of us. Hugsent! Peggy
Love that picture! What a beautiful and special time you were able to have with your JOSH. It's always a God-wink when you meet someone else who has lost a child - it is an immediate connection, not just eye to eye, but heart to heart.....I'm so glad you were there @ just the right moment.!
((((hugs)))) Vicki
