There is light at the end of the tunnel,,finally ,,the political scene is almost over said the dentist to the patient during a long and arduous root canal,,,,the entire process is really a pain and in truth should last no more than 6 months total,,and then life gets back to normal,,,this started nearly 2 years ago,,,,anyway  ,,I have my opinions on this ,,,,
I had some difficult times getting or falling to sleep ,,again,,,medications seem to only make it worse ,,and  I feel very groggy in the morning ,,,I have been trying to make the 9:30a meeting, but it has become pretty hit and miss lately,,,I signed up for the "Y" about 2 months ago,,and I have only been there a few times ,,,,if I was me ,,I would give myself a series of good swift kicks for being so stupid,,,no good..guess I won't listen to me  !!!... I have no excuse either ,,,
I  have a doctors appt, coming up this Friday,,,first one in several months ,,,I went to workforce one for an assessment as stipulated in the U/C extention rules ,,,they recommended that I take several things to "improve my chances for a career"...they have to be drinking their own koolaide on this one ,,,I just want to simple job ,,not a damn career change,,,I am going to be 63 ,,what are they nuts !!!!!!... Still it is just the rules of the dance ,,,
Watched a documentary on Jimi Hendrix called The Making of Electric Ladyland,,,did that ever send me back ??? ...it was such a simplier time !!!,,I remember paying either $4 or $5 to see him at the Electric Factory in Philly,, in 1967 ??? ...they had wooden benches and sported a sort of SF type lightshow,,,pretty tacky stuff,,, but very  trendy back then,,,,My friends dragged me there from S. Jersey,,,I was the one with the car,,,obviously,,and we got in early enough to sit in the second row of benches some 15 feet from the stage ,,,Hendrix played for about 2 hours and there was an opening act ,,,which was a name act at the time ,,,there was a wall of Marshalls 2 cabinets high and I think 6 or 8  all together with a couple of Marshall heads ,,,This is a medium sized converted warehouse in South Philly,,,not a stadium or concert hall,,,,talk about overkill,,
Anyway,,,a very interesting film and insight into the recording sessions for that album,,,My God ,,that was  40 some odd years ago,,Seems like it was  on a different planet looking back on it ,,

I hope u can rest soon Neil. Lol, some fond memories about ur Phillie trip, jimmy Hendrix...far out! How did ur do for appt. go? Enjoyed reading ur journal, I have to admit, like yesterday\'s, sometimes they r over my head, when u get into politics, perhaps if they were explained in laymen\'s terms. I suspect that u would make a fine teacher or professor.
