1 down 1 to go

So on Monday morning I had my cervical fusion. I was under for a little over 2 hours and only remember going into the O R. That night was horrible the pain medication they were administering through the iv was making me nauseous. I threw up like 4 different times before I could finally get it all out my system so as you could imagine I only pushed the button once myself before I realized they were giving me a dose on an hourly basis. I told them I was no longer going to use it but they insisted on leaving it on just in case.  On Tuesday morning after that difficult afternoon and long night having to call the nurse every couple of hours to disconnect me from like 5 different things just to go to the restroom i was feeling much better. I was discharged from the hospital at around 2 pm and went home with hardly any pain. Before I left the hospital I spoke to Martha, Dr. Swanns nurse. She told me day 3 and 4 are the worse so I'm amazed I don' t feel so bad today. I' m hoping the recovery goes smooth from now on and that my pain ends up just leaving slowly. My throat is the only thing that is really bothering me it hurts to even swallow my saliva. I've been taking ice chips and Cēpacol to help which they have but it is still hard to swallow.
