It's been 6 months since I updated my journal and so much has happened since last time. I got pretty low over the holidays and after my birthday in January. All this covid19 shutdown stuff sucks, but actually helped me to start getting healthier overall.
I exercise now almost every day. The time away from home clears my mind and I have been spending that time to work through some issues of my past. I have been focusing on the CODA principles, not to try to change my relationship, but just to work on myself and I notice a big difference overall. My moods are so much better.
My hubby was put on a special diet right at the beginning of lockdown in California (low FODMAP) and we have both stuck to it since then. While it helped his issues, it helped with some issues I didn't know I had: leaky gut. Since I've been on it, I've had better energy, my fingernails stopped splitting, my sleep has gotten better, my thyroid levels have corrected, and my fibromyalgia flare ups have lessened in frequency and severity.
I started jogging again a little bit. I am up to a mile straight and can jog it under 11.5 minutes. I also do shirt term hikes and cardio barre classes. I hope that my weight loss will continue. It stalled out last December and then I gained back all the weight I lost. I'm down 6 lb. again.
I'm trying to keep a regular routine making sure I do the things that are important, like eating right, exercising, working on my mental health, and keeping up positive social relationships.
