My hubby is retiring from his job in June. We sold our house in February and closed on a house in Nevada just this past week. We have been waiting for June to make our move. I have already received a job offer in Nevada doing what I do now. It will be nice to work in close proximity to my new home in a state with fewer taxes and expenses.
I got covid19 at the beginning of April and it wasn't pleasant. The symptoms were lingering up until yesterday morning. My congestion seemed to finally be gone just in time for my sons and daughter to visit for Easter. We had a really nice dinner at my home. Even my daughter's quirks were manageable and didn't really bother me. I had an abundance of patience which was surprising. As I was driving one of my sons home, I felt a very sharp pain in my hip joint. This is a pain like I have not felt before.
I saw a sports specialist in January for hip pain and back pain. With going to the chiropractor and doing my physical therapy the pain has subsided and I was gradually getting better. Then this new pain comes out of nowhere. I was diagnosed with bursitis by the sports medicine MD but bursitis is muscle pain, not joint. This pain I have now is next level suffering. I did some research about rheumatoid arthritis. I had blood tests for that back in 2018. My levels for the RA markers were high normal but still within the normal range so it was ruled out at the time. I have also been having bouts with diarrhea since early February and I can't explain why. I thought it was just things I had eaten but with the hip joint pain I am pretty sure it's an inflamed bowel. 70% of RA sufferers also have IBS.
I made a telephone appointment with my primary physician in a couple weeks. I'm hoping she will run the blood tests for RA again to either confirm or rule it out. In the meantime there's nothing I can do. I don't even have pain medication prescribed that will help with this pain. I just hope I can make it through work this week.
At 47, I thought I was too young for this.
