Rough week.

Work went well for being one of the busiest weeks since the beginning of the year.  My stress levels were off the charts because of that and my daughter.

My daughter got kicked out of the group home that she just moved into only a month ago.  She had a royal meltdown, but this time it wasn't just yelling and being angry.  She was throwing and breaking glasses and trying to hurt the other people in the home.  Regional center will have to find her a different home with a higher level of care.  This news sent my stress levels through the roof in addition to the busy work week.

I also found an error that one of my assistants made going back to January.  Now I will have to spend the time to fix it.  I supervise two people.  I'm not technically their boss.  My boss is their boss but they are hired to help me complete my work.  They only make minimum wage and work part time.  It's not complicated work that they are required to do, but it has to get done and I would rather give it them so that I can do the things they can't do.  Supervision is new for me in the past two years.  I worked alone as a contractor before and never had to deal with anyone other than clients.  Managing people and having to give proper feedback so that they will work well is something that I am learning to do.  I like having these two work for me but when they don't catch their own mistakes it makes more work for me and adds to my stress levels.

I had to stay home today and not go out.  I was supposed to go see my son play in a tournament today but just couldn't due to low energy.  I've had two nights of long sleep, but overall they were rough nights and I woke up feeling bruised all over.  Each night I woke up at avabo 2:30 and left my bed to go sleep in the guest room.  Sometimes going to a different bed part way through the night helps alleviate that feeling of sleeping on a board.  Plus my husband isn't in the guest room and I can roll all over the guest bed as much as I like.  I think it may be time to purchase a new mattress topper yet AGAIN.  I hate that.  I have money set aside for a trip in a couple weeks and didn't want to deplete that amount by $350 for a new topper.  Maybe if I just work to keep my nutrition good and take my magnesium I might not have to buy the topper.  It's worth a try.
