Bill ~ speaking as a former diabetic. Sugar is not the whole issue.
The bigger issue is prepackaged and fast foods.....they are laden with complex carbs and little to no fiber.
Maple syrup, honey, coconut sugar and dates are much easier for the body to assimilate and are actually better for diabetics or anyone for that matter than table sugar. I sometimes use organic cane sugar which in moderation is fine.
If you eat a carb, make sure to balance it with fiber as the fiber will bind to the carb and move it through and out of the body. The other trick is to space your meals at least 5 hours apart.
There is ssd's o much more than doctors are telling us....and the SAD is wrong and backwards. When I broke away from the SAD and did do diligent research and tried out my findings.....I got well. I'm just saying!
