(How egregious of me as a New Yorker! Somehow I failed to get this one in on time, but hey, it's never to late to big up a state!)



September 21st was National New York Day!


Have you ever lived in or visited New York? If so, tell us what's great about the Empire State!

As someone from what others deem to be "upstate" New York (the debate amongst New Yorkers is never ending as to where that imaginary line of demarcation actually is) I will be really impressed with anyone who has visited any part of New York state outside of New York City, or really any of the cities here, just because it seems like most people outside the state only think of NYC when they think of New York as a state and we're so much more than that. Like even the pics above are probably all from the boroughs... I can't say with certainty but more than likely that is the case...

Anyway, yeah, born and raised non-NYC New Yorker and proud. Never lived anywhere else and I don't really ever want to if I can avoid it. Highly recommend visiting if you've never been and while NYC is probably someplace everyone should visit once, don't judge the whole state based on the one city because we're so much more and you'd be amazed at how different the rest of the state is compared to it. Just saying...

Tes, that is one place that I have always wanted to visit. I hope maybe one day I will make it there.
