This past July I left my job, friends, and place I had lived for 7 years to move home and start a life with my fiancé, Andrew. Our wedding date was set for October 4. We got an apartment and were finalizing details for the wedding. I had just started a new job. He had a heart attack and died suddenly 7 weeks ago. My entire future plans and dreams just crashed. I had to resign from my job because I didn't have any time off. Ive moved back in with my parents who are so supportive. But I feel like no one else understands this devastation. How do I move forward with this huge hole in my heart? I am trying to get back to work and looking for other jobs, but I want to do so in a completely new area. I know his friends are grieving but they don't reach out to me, and I don't think my friends understand. I don't even feel like seeing them when they have their husbands and happy lives. Is it a good idea to start fresh in a brand new city/town? I feel awful, and its even more painful to look at pictures of him. I almost want to shut it all in a box and never think about it because I still can't bare that he isn't here with me anymore. I've never felt so alone or lost. Where do I go from here??

You go very slowly. Take it one day at a time. Concentrate on breathing, bathing, fulfilling your basic needs. You won't feel like it at first, but you've got to get up everyday, and do one more thing that you did yesterday. Go for a walk. Start taking hikes. Join a fitness group. Nothing is going to make you feel better for a while. One day you'll find yourself smiling at something...genuinely. Don't make any rash decisions right now. Just go slowly. One breath at a time.

Take it in 5 minute intervals in the beginning.. then take it hour by hour and then morning by morning and then day-by-day.... step by step... they are so right..very slow and be patient with yourself..
