I made a weird lasagna type thing for dinner last night. It sounds weird when I tell you what's in it but it actually tasted really good.
I basically made a lasagna but instead of ground beef I used deer meat and instead of pasta I used sweet potatoes cut into sticks. I used low fat cottage cheese mixed with frozen spinach and layered all that up then topped with some part skim mozzarella and baked in the oven for 45 minutes on 400 I think.
I've been adding frozen spinach to alot of dishes lately to up my vegetable servings. Getting burnt out on salads.

Oh yeah and the sauce I used was some of the homemade canned sauce from my garden

It sounds interesting but I do not like sweet potato.....other than that I probably would eat it...

I've had lasagna made with zuchinni before too. It was good. But I like sweet potato because it's nice and starchy.
Tired
I would eat it with sweet potato, but I don't like deer meat.

Tired, that's the saddest thing I've ever heard! Deer is so much better than cow! It just needs prepared right. Gotta make sure it's from a clean kill, soak it for a few days in salt and merlot wine. This was ground deer. It's so lean and more flavor than sirloin beef.
