I also don't know any DS trick to avoid or stop it.
When it happens to me I highlight and copy the post before hitting 'send', then if it happens again I can just paste what I've copied.
I hope it clears up for you.
Beryl gave us a good solution .
Now, if I'm writing a long or complicated post I sometimes highlight it and hit copy, without pasting it anywhere. Most computers or devices will just hold it in temporary storage (used to be called the 'clipboard') until I copy something else. Then I click send and wait to see if it goes through. Having copied it doesn't make it more likely to go through and post (as far as I know), it just makes it easier to recreate if something goes wrong. If it posts I forget about it, if not I get a new form to make a post and paste my content into it and try to send again. Usually, I'll keep at it until it goes through.
If something happens that I need to change tasks and I'm still wanting to post my post I'll paste it some place else to save it for later. Word documents, other kinds of documents (like Google docs or Microsoft onenote) have worked well for this. But, in a pinch I've also pasted into the body of an email and sent it to myself, also I've tried saving things as an event note in a calendar entry. With the email and calendar entry I believe I experienced some loss of formatting, and the calendar notes may have length restrictions. It is possible that whichever computer or devices I'm using may save what's copied long enough for me to get back to it, but I'm not sure if there's a time limit on this temporary storage or if it clears if I lock, log out of, or shut down the device so if I'm changing tasks I save it some place permanently til I can get back to it.
This is just what I have tried, different things may work better for other people.
