Women who Love too Much Community Group
WHEN BEING IN LOVE, MEANS BEING IN PAIN... This group is to help women through the journey of realizing they can love themselves. To help realize that they are capable of having a happy, healthy, whole relationship and break the cycle of abuse and heartache from loving emotionally unavailable men.
We have to integrate the 2 haves into a whole. Not sure how to do this although books say "heal your inner child".
Being wonder woman keeps the child at bay. My actual power is used against myself to keep people from seeing the real me. If I were completly honest with myself, I would see that my comic book self is the way I cope with the pain from my childhood. But the positive side is that I know what I am capable of. Now I just have to make myself believe that I am worthy of being that powerful person 24/7.
who are you when you are whole? if you dont know, who would you be? what are your strengths?
The couple of things I've never recovered from childhood are the ability to play and the part of my feminine side - because to the world, I portray a strong, confident woman - never the woman who sometimes should not need to be the strong one.
I am not afraid of change nor any task. It is just that I still feel exhausted . . so I struggle to stir myself to tackle projects. I am hoping this is from grieving still because it hasn't been a year since I kicked him out and just over three months since our divorce was final. But, I've worked in the legal system, I've built recreational trailers and buses, I've welded, I've cooked, I've counseled. I can paint and hang wall paper, change out electrical outlets, fix the furnace.
Oh, my, I want full restoration of who I really am!
