WHEN BEING IN LOVE, MEANS BEING IN PAIN... This group is to help women through the journey of realizing they can love themselves. To help realize that they are capable of having a happy, healthy, whole relationship and break the cycle of abuse and heartache from loving emotionally unavailable men.
I'm stuck in it! I've been trained in denial since I was a little girl (my father's an alcoholic). I was in denial when I found out he cheated on my mom, and then I repeated this pattern with 2 guys I loved. How can someone accept the facts and then deal with emotions, with shock and pain? I mean, the truth is the truth anyway. If i pretend nothing's going on, this weirdass situation will just drag on and on, and the ending will not be happy either.
denial, impossibility, yeah it seens impossible to have a happy ending, knowing what we know and just hopting for a different outcome. The thing with me anyway is that I seem to be compelled to keep trying, even though I know how it will end up. He doesn't seem motivatedd to try a tenth of what I do.It is ridicoulus of how we tie ourselves up in knots for someone who doesn't care enough to try to match a little of what we do.s
