Women who Love too Much Community Group
WHEN BEING IN LOVE, MEANS BEING IN PAIN... This group is to help women through the journey of realizing they can love themselves. To help realize that they are capable of having a happy, healthy, whole relationship and break the cycle of abuse and heartache from loving emotionally unavailable men.

i'm hoping for the best and i'm hoping it can really help you!! any tools would be helpful i think.
however any program that promises a cure in a week is off my list.
exposure therapy is generally the best form of therapy for ptsd and anxiety.
sunny there are no quick fixes. i'm back to DBT for your anxiety and relationship problems.
i think there is a difference between being codependent and anxious and having ptsd. anxiety is a mood state. codependency is a behavior perhaps a coping behavior.
you need an appropriate diagnosis and treatment sunny. are you still on the wait list for DBT???
you seem to have some classic traits of an emotion regulation disorder sunny. i say this b/c i have them too. and this is WHY you cannot will yourself to stop these reactions. you need to learn coping skills tha thou don't already have that's all. you can do that with DBT.
but good luck with whatever you try....anything that can help soothe your anxiety is great progress. it's just i see it as a surface attempt at fixing a larger problem...
I went to go to my GP for referral to a therapist but sat outside too scared to go in!
grrr with myself.
I didn't know the doctor I was seeing, had no idea if I could talk to her or anything. I know my daughters doctor is easy to talk to so Im considering moving my practice so I can see her. She's from NZ and about my age , she seems quite up on what mental health referrals are about as she has helped my daughter.
will get back to that though., and get on the wait list. It can be up to a year though…..!
this Linden Method, offers money back refund if it doesn't work.
Its worth a look I think.
I will check back in!
My thinking is that if I can control my anxiety a bit more this will help me a lot to reach out and do more for myself without the fear of anything…then this will help my self-esteem. ….
but did you mean BPD?!
I don't remember ever not having this anxiety.
Sometimes I would call in sick at work as I just couldn't face people….and I have now developed a phobia of talking on the telephone.
also david burns is sort of the grand father of cognitive behavioral therapy and anxiety....he has many books one is called the feeling good handbook.
in the DBT book skills training manual for treating borderline personality disorder has a section called distress tolerance skills and THAT is a grand list of coping skills you can use whenever you feel distressed. i highly recommend that list....hands down it helped my anxiety and ptsd more than anything else....ever.
It is the closest I have found to how I feel and react.
so thanks for that Finn.

one thing you can do for yourself is to start thinking about inner child and reparenting work......those are things you can gear up to do for yourself. isn't that wonderful???? there is hope. there is help!!! and it wasn't your fault!!! you didn't get what you needed and it hurt that little vulnerable girl.....now you can treat her like your own daughter and show her the way to compassion......
one book at a time eh??? if you do buy another book i would recommend the skills training manual b/c that was the first book that ever taught me skills that i can actually use to help myself feel better. it doesn't concern itself with how's or why's or even what's really. it just shows us how to feel better but taking small actions. i feel in control of my life again!! and because of that my ptsd is much much calmer. it's not in a crisis mode like yours. so i can actually take action........
sunny whatever you do or whatever you read or don't read........just keep swimming!!! don't stop swimming.......
