I am at work and almost cried reading this x thanks for posting this, it is so true. I don't know how many times I have lain awake at night while he sleeps. Even after arguments, after he's treated me badly.

OOOOooooOO.... i HATE it when they do that, this big blowout argument, then they just go to bed and drift off to sleep like its nothing, like our crying means nothing to them, that the pain we are in means nothing, making our feelings invalid when all we want is a hug or an im sorry or some friggin ATTENTION and resolution to conflict like normal humans. HATE IT. or when they just walk out the room or leave after they say what they have to say, or yell, or whatever they do. it makes me crazy. one time with my ex, i had had enough, i was pregnant and he was ignoring me and invalidating me, i followed him out the door, and stood there, and said we need to talk like normal people, we need to figure this out, he got in his car, and well, BACKED INTO ME when i didnt move. and my dumbass didnt call the cops right away, so in the end he got off scott free. i wishi could go back to that time and call the cops. it would have saved me a bunch now, when it comes to our daughter. not that he cares to see her, but then i would have a reason to NEVER let him see her on paper.
but i love this song. explains so much, and so much of where alot of us are, or have been. we have left or are in the process of leaving, and now, we are here, healing, learning to be that stronger woman.
