Women who Love too Much Community Group
WHEN BEING IN LOVE, MEANS BEING IN PAIN... This group is to help women through the journey of realizing they can love themselves. To help realize that they are capable of having a happy, healthy, whole relationship and break the cycle of abuse and heartache from loving emotionally unavailable men.
So I did something dumb and now I feel uncomfortab

So this guy from the social anxiety group I was going to had expressed interest in me and I told him I only wanted to be friends and he pushed it a little bit but then backtracked and admitted some stuff (that it had been a long time since he had been with somebody and was feeling desperate) and then said he would be okay with friends only and thought that was the best idea. So I thought it would be good for me to get out and not just sit home mulling over this break up so I said yes but now I feel uncomfortable so I think I've done something wrong. It seemed like a good idea until I actually said yes now I'm regretting it.
Guess I couldn't just enjoy my wonderful thing, huh? :D hehehe

Sounds like you are having social anxiety Diana! Relax, I think if you have your boundaries in place and you go for a tea with a friend, it's okay.
DianaShepherd
The thing is, I don't have my boundaries in place. I think I'm doing this to avoid the pain of my breakup.

Well maybe it's all right. I'm going to give it a try and just see how it is.

Thanks, Creo and Izzy. I want to try it but the thing is, I have a weird lump in my throat that feels like it's saying, "Don't" but at the same time I want to. Actually it's more like once it's off the table I want to, and then once it's back on, I don't want to. I'm kind of afraid he might become stalkerish because he's so isolated. I don't want to be that big of deal to somebody.

And the other thing is it's ruining my happy feeling I had from taking care of myself earlier. My victory. But now I've put myself under pressure again. I already told him I would now so I feel obligated. Plus I told my exbf I wanted to get out date or spend time with men and it actually so incredibly unlikely I'll do that, I thought why not just get right out there, now?
DianaShepherd
I decided to cancel it because I wasn't comfortable. I feel happy and good about myself again.

Great sometimes we have to follow our bliss. If it doesn't feel good don't do it
