I read this and couldn't agree more! Before I read this information (that the Narcissist is now going to be called a Psychopath), I had formulated that opinion on my own. Nice to see that the experts have come to the same conclusion. I suffered at the hands of a "dark entity", both my father and then my husband. It is too late for me, as I am 68 years old. Wish I'd had this insight several decades ago. But at least I've learned I'm not alone. So many women have been victimized. It didn't mean I was stupid. It meant that being conditioned to abuse by my psychopathic father, I gravitated to the same type in my adult relationships. Again, thank you for posting this! May it help the younger women before it's too late.

I am 47 and already feel like Im too old!!!

I am 52 and am fighting this same urge to think I am "past it." I keep saying to myself that if I were 82, I would look back on my 52-year-old self and laugh! (Either that or be really annoyed.)

The bottom line seems to be, however old you are when you gain the wisdom, that's as long as it had to take. And gaining the wisdom sets you free to appreciate the present. And the present is all there ever is.

I find it difficult to remember how old I am most days!
But here I am still feeling young and feel like I don't know a thing!

I like your thinking when you are 82 - we need to relish the time we have, todays a new day!!!
