WHEN BEING IN LOVE, MEANS BEING IN PAIN... This group is to help women through the journey of realizing they can love themselves. To help realize that they are capable of having a happy, healthy, whole relationship and break the cycle of abuse and heartache from loving emotionally unavailable men.
This was addressed in another thread. and is mentioned in the book. those oh so great love movies with great trial and sacrifice for the one they love, is EXACTLY what we need to stay away from. it does not exist for us.
i remember how much it hurt every f***ing radio station i turned to had some love song. or some movie with someone dying for the one they love. well ive had enough "DYING" for the one i love. because everytime i gave those insignificant undeserving fools my heart, a part of me died there, and time wasted that i will never get back.
i have died for those i love, and quite frankly, i dont want to do it again.
i want to LIVE with someone i love. have life... family dinners... laughter.... not waiting by the phone... sacrificing myself so they will see i love them... allowing them to abuse me, hurt me, abandon me, and making excuses for it. not anymore.
