Women who Love too Much Community Group
WHEN BEING IN LOVE, MEANS BEING IN PAIN... This group is to help women through the journey of realizing they can love themselves. To help realize that they are capable of having a happy, healthy, whole relationship and break the cycle of abuse and heartache from loving emotionally unavailable men.
This is exactly where I am and my life (and relationship) are 1000% better compared to when I first started posting.
Maria, I just wanted to say thank you for all of your very wise, generous and extremely pertinent posts. While it won't always be the case, many many times it WILL make more sense to just leave a relationship, and for the very reasons you have pointed out in a different post (i.e. because staying in some relationships for WWLTM can kill you!!!). And it's so true that until you work on yourself, address your childhood issues and building up a strong sense of self, then you will STAY trapped in situations that can range from dissatisfying all the way to lethal. Basically, it's not and never should be about whether or not your relationship to some man survives: it's about building and safeguarding your relationship with yourself. If the relationship with the man improves as your relationship with yourself improves, well, all the better. But even if it doesn't, you'll have the strength and self-esteem to make a much better life for yourself. Win-win all round.
How well you put things.
You know? Robin says in steps of recovery that she counts as ten, in step ten she suggests we share our story, experience, strenght and hope with other WWLTM. This is a guarantee to keep our recovery intact and prevails us from regressing. Practincing this program is for life, and in this sense finding this forum is being of great help for me too.
In primitive tribes, women used to reunite between them to solve their problems. This women power is enourmous still in our modern societies.
Hugs to you,
Maria
