Once again I am thinking of you, or of us.
A break up has a lot of stages: denial, anger, acceptance and moving forward. I have been to all of them.
Today I thought of you again, things are so much more clear now, I finally understand that we were not meant to be, our relationship would never work out, not because one of us, but just because it was supposed to be like that.
I understand now that you did not love me and that I was pushing it with all fiber of my being, but that is not how things work out.
Sometimes I wish I could talk to you, but then I ask myself: what for? You never really wanted to talk, the whole time you just wanted to walk away, and you know what? That is okay, as you said once, I could not force you to stay and now I accept that.
I know you have moved on with your life and that you are happy and in love with your girlfriend and I would love to be happy about that, but for a while this is not going to happen, when I think about it all I still feel a lot of pain, because in the end, even though you did not love me, I did love you, with all my heart, I did wanted this to work out and have a happy ending…
But maybe this is the happy ending right?
It is just that I had this stupid hope that one day, you would come to me and say, hey you, we did not work out, but you know what? You are an amazing woman and I loved you.
Bullshit.
I would love to send you these letters, and I would do so if I knew you wouldn’t laugh at them, but I know you are going to read, laugh and think: crazy bitch. So I can not send them (and by them I mean I have wrote a couple, but you would never get the point)
The last memory I have of us is exactly the last time we saw each other, you made it so clear that I did not matter anymore, all of you was showing that, and then I sat at the beach and when you came meet me all I could do was crying. Do you remember I did not say a word? I could not, what could I probably say? I was just crying and kissing your cheeks, there, at that moment, I just wanted to feel you because I knew you were already gone.
My life is good, everything is better than it has ever been, but I am still grieving you, grieving the death of this dream I had with you, grieving the end of the hope I had to be with you. But it is okay, sometimes in life we win and sometimes we lose.

Don't send the letter. I remember right after my ex and I broke up (around then...not exactly sure it was so long ago) I sent him this heartfelt letter about how I missed him. He didn't even respond to it. When I asked him about it he was cruel and said it 'wasn't as if he made me write it' so why did he have to say anything. Prick. Let's just say I felt humiliated.
Don't give your letter to some cruel jerk just so he can use it to hurt you all over again. Carry on x
After I broke up with my ex, I sent him a text asking if he was cheating on me, he of course said no, he could never do that to me, I never thought he would actually admit it. I didn't respond, that would open the door to a discussion I didn't want to have. it wouldn't be worth it. although you want to tell him how you feel sometimes its best to just walk away, what difference will it make in the end???
