reading these post especially the ones where a woman falls for a younger man. Also I have a physical disabilty, I  am an amputee an have real insecurities with that too. So here is this beautiful well built man who wasn't real intelligent in his speach but he liked me, well I just fell like a rock.  Plus he seemed to have his financial stuff together and for me coming to the table with his own financial stability was a big deal. I am older as I said, it made me feel good that someone 9 years younger who was ok with my missing leg would be attacted to me. 



Now I realize how deep I was into my sickness. Finding ways to get bettr and recognize these behaviors is what I want to work on.

I totally get the whole younger man scenario. I dabbled in age-gap relationships during my early 40s (and now my cousin who is in her early 40s is doing the same) and for me it wasn't that successful because the guy had Aspbergers and was on a totally different plane than me. I posted a lot about this on this site in 2010. I don't think your amputee status should impact your attractiveness--I would think this would point to your strength in being able to navigate with a prosthetic device.

But back to this guy--it sounds like he didn't have much to bring to the table other than good looks and youth. Now that there's less stigma of dating older women more and more younger guys are doing it but unfortunately most of them are doing this because they think not a lot is expected out of them, that the older woman will accept their petulence and immaturity just because she's flattered to have the attention. They want someone to love them unconditionally, even when their behavior isn't deserving of love.
