Women who Love too Much Community Group
WHEN BEING IN LOVE, MEANS BEING IN PAIN... This group is to help women through the journey of realizing they can love themselves. To help realize that they are capable of having a happy, healthy, whole relationship and break the cycle of abuse and heartache from loving emotionally unavailable men.
When I think about the info you shared and how you're thinking about steps 5 & 6 I think about the advice people get for narcissist (not calling your husband a narc). I think some books about how to do the gray rock method or similar things could possibly be helpful. Just be ready for your husband to get a little over the top when you start acting differently.
Good luck!

Just this afternoon I was at the checkout of a grocery store when I noticed the next woman in line rolling her eyes when I was asking for the receipt, the stamps and the collectables. Her look made me uncertain but also made me realize that I was never someone who always asked for the receipt. But that I learned this from my husbands parents and grandparents. Because they always made sure everything was right on the receipt ans how important it was to get your right. Just now I realized that it wasn't me who was asking for the receipt but it was them. It was me living up their values and expectations and it made me realize that next time I should decide for myself if I want a receipt or not, not just because they think I should. It sounds silly to tell such a story about receipt but it certainly hit me and gave me an insight, which I liked to share.
Thank you again. Good luck with your journey!
