HI all i would just like some opinions on what others think about this.XN and the triangle i ended up in one of the OW he had been in a destructive on off relationship fow a few years.He abused her and she him.They cheated on each other and spoke horribly about each other.He tried many times to break it off with her and she the same but they were in a perverse kind of way hooked on the game.XN WOULD TELL ME OFTEN THAT OUR RELATIONSHIP BROUGHT HIM SO MUCH COMFORT AND HOW HE NEVER WANTED TO BE AT SUCH WAR WITH A WOMEN AGAIN. Ultimately he destroyed me by getting both of us tangled in his webb yet again.But even at the end when we caught him out he had the gall to ask me how or if there is a way that he could ever get out of this pattern of behaviour as he said its like a fatal attraction. I said to him your asking me this after destroying us. Its like he had no control over it she was a sickness to him.IM SURE THEY ARE BACK WITH EACH OTHER NOW BUT ITS NOT A RELATIONSHIP BASED ON LOVE AND RESPECT ITS SICK AND THEY WILL CONTINUE TO DESTROY EACH OTHER. any views on this i would be interseted. Do people ever break this hold someone has over them because i truly beleive at times XN wanted too.

Harmony...........this 3 way situation sounds like is not good for any of you. He is unavailable to you when he is with her and unavailable to her when he is with you. They are both cheats and abusers and somewhere in all this you are "piggy in the middle", caught in their victim, persecutor, rescuer game AKA Karpman Drama Triangle ?????? (someone correct me if I'm wrong). I'm sure if someone really wants to break out of it they can, but I imagine a lot of will power and a good therapist would be required. I have just read about a triangle ....he was love avoidant to a woman, she was love addict to him and he was sex addict to another woman. It was unhealthy and toxic for all concerned.
I could be wrong, but it sounds like a situation to exit from as quickly and safely as you can.

solitare i broke out of it months ago.Thats what brought me to this board because when i found out that he had involved me in such a sick triangle it almost destroyed me.YES they are both abusers and cheaters,she cheated on him and deliberately cheated on him with me and that bastard cheated on us both.

((((harmony 7)))) ............... got that t shirt, read that book and saw the film too many times. I too have been in a triangle, but didn't know until SHE contacted me. Or perhaps I had a gut instinct but keep getting told I was wrong and kept getting lied to......perhaps I preferred to believe him rather than step out of denial.
