Women who Love too Much Community Group
WHEN BEING IN LOVE, MEANS BEING IN PAIN... This group is to help women through the journey of realizing they can love themselves. To help realize that they are capable of having a happy, healthy, whole relationship and break the cycle of abuse and heartache from loving emotionally unavailable men.
No man will ever be the "right" one until we heal that in ourselves which has been attracted to a battle of wills, has needed to win or to lose, and then pointed the finger of blame at another for our troubles
What an irony it is that some of us want to travel backward and forward in time and from one end of the globe to the other, searching for enlightenment, when our soul's work is always right in front if us.
Nothing is meant to stay the same. If we don't progress, we decline.
When an emotionally painful event occurs and we tell ourselves it is our fault, we are actually saying we have control of it: if we change, the pain will stop. This dynamic is behind much of the self-blame in women who love too much. By blaming ourselves, we hold onto the hope that we will be able to figure out what we are doing wrong and then correct it, thereby controlling the situation and stopping the pain.
Our task is to face the situation, accept that it is painful, let go of our illusion of control, and ask for support and guidance from a Higher Will.
I really, really want to be my better self and move forward.
We do not enter into significant relationships by accident. We are inexorably drawn to the partners with whom we have the opportunity to learn our most pressing personal and interpersonal lessons. Acknowledging that we are not victims of, but rather volunteers for, the challenges with which love presents us can accelerate our learning those lessons.
