I thought I was doing pretty well. NC has been the saving grace in all of this for me. Howevre, I had a friend call me this morning wanting to talk about it. She was alomost taking up for him saying maybe he just realized a relationship ws not what he wanted. Maybe he had convinced himself and was finally true to himsefl aboutwhat he wanted. I held my anger. I explained that if that was the case he should have never made promises AGAIN AND AGAIN after we had broken up ovre these same deceptions. I told her he had a right to want what he wanted but not to treat me like a yo-yo in the process. He had no right to treat me the way he did. Thanks to her words I am now second guessing the whole thing again. Was it me???? I hate this out of control feeling. I just need to calm down.

This is all after feeling good - his Best friend of 25 years sent me a text this weekend letting me know he missed her bday for the first time ever. She did not even receive a text. She was pissed. This assured me that it was not me - that he had dropped off the face of the earth in a selfish and self-sabotage state. Then these few words from a friend about him this morning sent me flying in a different direction. What is wrong with me?

I will never be able to come to terms with "his stuff." I can only acknowledge how unhealthy the relationship became for me and continue to remember that the insanity of obsessing about him is a hangover that will go away in time.

It wasnt you, I played my scenario over and over in my head and after some time it became very clear that he had major issues before I met him. Sure I think well I did this or that but then I would realize whatever I did or however I acted was a result of what he had done to me and it was my reaction. His rage attacks were so unneccesary and about the littlest things and always when he saw me happy. People will say things to you like oh he just knew you were not what he wanted etc, and you will cling to it to make yourself feel doubtful and for me worthless because I have low self esteem, and its also part of the aftermath. He may have perhaps knew I was what he wanted but that didnt stop him from using me or abusing me or telling me that he loved me or for that matter keeping me around until he found someone else. Soooooo you know what? They are so disordered you cant even begin to rationalize what they think or thought and either can ANYONE ELSE. So try to turn a deaf ear.
