Women who Love too Much Community Group
WHEN BEING IN LOVE, MEANS BEING IN PAIN... This group is to help women through the journey of realizing they can love themselves. To help realize that they are capable of having a happy, healthy, whole relationship and break the cycle of abuse and heartache from loving emotionally unavailable men.
So do it. Do it with your eyes open, do NOT move back in with him, limit your time together, do NOT ignore red flags and see what happens.
Time tells all and if he is able to be honest, trustworthy, and drama free, he will show that. And if not, that will present itself as well.
Relationships should not make you feel clingy, anxious and insecure. Yet, since that is all we know, we think this is normal and we call it love.
I keep saying time as well, but i should decide one way or another and stop being mean to him at least.
I think i am STUCK in a state of cog diss, not just because of him, where also is difficult to decipher. i think it is possible, that he was just a trigger, and now all the guns are firing off in my head. I dont think everyone is out to get me, but sometimes i feel like they are. ive been trying for years to figure out how to stop this damn feeling. i just want peace in my mind. im tired of the constant battle waging in there. and somedays i have to give up and just lay in bed all day. and i am working on me and my daughter, without him, and there is no way i would move back with him, i love my place. or let him move with me. But ive started to force myself to make decisions regardless of the outcome, when i realized i wasnt or couldnt, make any.
I feel anxious about the relationship, but i do that with any relationship, good or bad. never been clingy.
He usually takes steps to make sure i dont feel insecure. he's always trying to show me off or doing something to make me feel pretty. he still opens doors for me even.
I guess im going to have to just make a decision and go for it, one way or another. why cant this poo be easy?
This would be a huge red flag for me. Read up on this one. It is not nice. At all.
He is showing you what he could do to YOU.
Listen to your gut Dracona. Listen long and hard.
im no cupcake either at times, hell i punched a hole in the wall, i was entirely completely appalled at myself when i realized what i had done, i just lost it for a minute. i was emotionally overwhelmed, and i know it wont happen again, because i wont let it. i wont let my mom or my sister get to me in such a way again. and my daughter was in the other room when it happened, also not good. but i know i can be ok if the same situation arises again. could it be the same for him? he was understanding of me when i was being crazy, would it be so wrong to inch my way around the idea of being with him?
im by no means rushing into anything... my own personal feelings are conflicted and jumbled, about many things in my life, but i do care about him.
- he called the cops on ex-GF but then is caught hanging out with her a month or so afterwards.
- he says he didn't tell you because he didn't want to upset you...although finding out on your own felt so much better...hmmmm
- he continues to stay in contact with her closely enough that he allows her to sway his judgement of you, To the point where he thinks you have trust issues with him.
- he has anger issues...
I'm a firm believer NOW after almost a year of counseling that the beginning of the relationship is the best it will be. It's all downhill from here. You should be seeing his best foot forward right now but instead you're torn on what to do. Sounds pretty clear to me what you should do for YOU! Take care and tread cautiously!! You deserve the best and he just doesn't sound like the best based on what you described above.
