I agree..let it go. He is trying one of their "many tricks"..say something outragous that they know will get a rise out of us just so we break down & contact them. You know the truth. What he says, thinks or cares about you does not matter. Many hugs to you...keep up the great job.

It's that "curiosity" that pulls us back into their web. I've broken "no contact" too many times by wondering "why did he say that"......"what's he up to"......"who's he with"......etc. etc. etc. Each time I give in and "sate" my curiosity I regret it because it starts the cycle all over again and makes me feel like I'm still not in control of myself. If I were you I'd let it go.

Well 11 days down the drain :-( I'm ashamed!! I replied to a few texts he sent me yesterday. They weren't any big deal just small talk about our snow fall, but still. Then he leaves me hanging just like he used to do all the time. What am I to do now, just dust myself off and start over again? 11 days seems like a life time, so the second time around is going to be even harder....but I want so much to erase this toxic person from my life, but I miss him for all the wrong reasons. I hang out with his cousin's, and they tell me it's just his way of keeping me on the back burner because he and the ex-gf are only good for a couple of months and then they start fighting. I truly thought this was his first break-up with her, but it's like the tenth time, so I am told. You'd think by hearing that it would be a no brainer for me, but that attachment did develop and it's not easy to let go. I know I just can't ever allow myself to fall back into his arms again. I know I will eventually get to the point where I feel nothing for him, but I just wish I could fast forward time to that moment.

Another reason for me to run and not look back is that the drama his relationship with her brings. I'm told by his family that his on again, off again girlfriend is really psycho crazy, insanely jealous crazy (they are both cops). I am afraid if she ever knew that I existed, she would come find me. She's so crazy that his family will not welcome her into any of their homes. No one can even believe that she was given a badge & gun. I feel bad for her 5yr son, he has to witness such toxic behavior on both their parts, this how all this stuff begins, when they are young, this is what he see's so when he grows up this is how he will treat woman. What does this teach this young boy when the same man walk in an out of his life constantly, and its not even his father. I guess I shouldn't be concerned and just work on myself.

just start counting days over. maybe next time you can go 14 then longer. He keeps going back to her-so he must like something about her craziness. My ex likes to know what Im doing also-I think it feeds his ego. Dont give up!

try not to beat yourself up over it. Take a deep breath & start over. They are very convincing & very minulitive & know all the right buttons to push !!!!!! Everyday that you dont talk to him is a step in the right direction. We all slip now & then but the important thing is to keep going in the right direction & eventually it will get easier, remember no matter what he says its just bait. The more women they have waiting in the wings the more powerful they feel !!!! 11 day is deffinatly something to be proud of as Katle said maybe this time you will get to 14 !!!!! DONT GIVE UP !!!!!!

Must read: "When You Are Addicted To A Person" by Harold Halpern. It helped me so much, not only about the N, but also why we on the other side tend to do what we do. It really helped and I think it would help you. My suggestion would be to take a little time each day and dedicate to you. Dig deep and begin to discover your true self and create on that, build on that.

Much easier said than done. I've had no contact for 15 days and I truly realize everyday is a struggle.
