Women who Love too Much Community Group
WHEN BEING IN LOVE, MEANS BEING IN PAIN... This group is to help women through the journey of realizing they can love themselves. To help realize that they are capable of having a happy, healthy, whole relationship and break the cycle of abuse and heartache from loving emotionally unavailable men.
I am sorry you are hurting so bad. When I was Young I have once clinged to a Young man who was rejecting me and the more he rejected me the more I wanted him.
That used to hurt so bad. It is with time while I built a bigger self-steem that I understood my own value and would not chase again a man who was discarding me. I learned to know I was a lot more Worth than that.
Hugs to you,
Maria
I wanted to send you support and my faith that I know you can do this! I know how much it hurts and how infuriating it is to be fighting a battle within yourself between your heart and your mind. As of today, I'm at nine months no contact. In the first week, I never thought I'd live through a month. It's the hardest battle I've ever fought but I knew that there was nothing good that could result from not continuing to fight. Even when 99% of me was screaming that I would die if I didn't have him in my life, (and still occasionally does, although these moments are fewer and farther between and less enduring), there was a tiny voice within that reminded me that my self-respect was the only thing that mattered. Each day that I put between someone who is not interested in and incapable of the love I had to offer is another day of self-respect I got to earn.
It also helps me to remind myself that just like a crack addict, the pull is nothing more than an addiction. It is not real. It is not love. Nothing about it is what I want. So I sit back, observe those feelings, and little by little, they are washing over me with less intensity.
If I can do this, you can do this. I know this because you are reaching out, you are recognizing what your authentic healthy self wants and you are able to see that it is not him.
This is so much more than a normal break-up. It is soul destruction. But it is an opportunity to rebuild in ways that no one will ever be able to tear down again. You've got this! It's going to hurt like hell. But it is doable. And remember you're not alone.
