Alright. Here goes. I'm 20 and just had sex with my boyfriend on Saturday (my first time ever). Now, I had just started on the pill that day, so I'm assuming that it might not have been in full effect. Anyway, we used condoms, AND pulled out. Everything was fine and dandy, until I was vomiting the next morning. This got me incredibly freaked out.
I suppose my questions are;
- was the pill effective immediately?
- was the vomiting an early indication of pregnancy (or is less than 12 hours too early? haha)
- could the vomiting be from starting up on the pill? or just simply nerves from "doin' da dirty" the first time?

Well, I'm also on the pill and I can tell you my doctor suggested using condoms the first month on it because it does not take immediate effect on the body. Also, your body has to adjust to the amount of hormones in your body so it is possible that you starting to take the pill made you sick. I don't think you're pregnant, but if there was a chance that sperm did enter your cervix, I think sperm can live up to 3 days inside of you. That's why some women take the morning after pill. Just be calm and wait a couple of weeks. It might be too soon to take a pregnancy test anyway. I wish you luck! And I think you'll be fine.
